About IQAC

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Malabar College of Engineering and Technology is an essential body dedicated to ensuring and enhancing the quality of education and overall institutional performance. Established as per the guidelines of the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), the IQAC plays a crucial role in promoting continuous improvement and academic excellence within the institution.

The primary objective of the IQAC is to develop and maintain a robust quality assurance system that encompasses all aspects of the college’s functioning. It strives to create a culture of quality consciousness among faculty members, staff, and students, fostering an environment conducive to learning, innovation, and research.

Objectives

The objective of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at our college is to promote a culture of quality enhancement and continuous improvement in all aspects of the institution. The IQAC aims to facilitate the development and implementation of effective policies, practices, and mechanisms that ensure the delivery of high-quality education and services to all stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Specifically, the objectives of the IQAC are as follows:

  1. Quality Assurance: To develop and implement a robust quality assurance system that ensures the maintenance and enhancement of academic standards, teaching-learning processes, and overall institutional effectiveness.
  2. Accreditation and Compliance: To assist the college in obtaining and maintaining accreditation from relevant statutory bodies and regulatory agencies. The IQAC will ensure compliance with quality benchmarks, guidelines, and norms set by accreditation bodies.
  3. Continuous Improvement: To foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting regular internal and external academic audits, institutional assessments, and feedback mechanisms. The IQAC will use these findings to identify areas of improvement and implement appropriate measures to enhance the quality of education and support services.
  4. Curriculum Development: To collaborate with academic departments in designing and revising curriculum frameworks that align with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the needs of various stakeholders. The IQAC will ensure that curriculum design promotes student-centric learning, outcome-based education, and interdisciplinary approaches.
  5. Faculty Development: To facilitate the professional development of faculty members through workshops, training programs, and other initiatives. The IQAC will support faculty members in adopting innovative teaching methodologies, integrating technology in pedagogy, and engaging in research and publications.
  6. Student Support and Welfare: To promote a conducive learning environment and provide comprehensive support services to students. The IQAC will work towards enhancing student engagement, mentoring, career guidance, counseling, and fostering an inclusive campus culture.
  7. The IQAC will encourage the dissemination of research outcomes through conferences, seminars, and publications.
